Vantage designed and implemented a custom document management solution to replace Oracle Universal Content Management at CalPERS.
Built with Spring Boot and SQL Server, the system stores and retrieves approximately 150 million documents. It has remained in production since delivery, with very little maintenance and a low cost of ownership.

Direct engagement
Vantage performed the majority of the technical implementation for multiple major upgrades across the myCalPERS application stack, with testing conducted by CalPERS.
The work included upgrading Java 8 to Java 21, replacing deprecated libraries, and updating application components. Hands-on architecture and development supported the continued evolution of this essential pension administration system.

Direct engagement
Vantage designed and developed the CURES integration supporting interstate prescription-data exchange. The integration entered production and shares data with multiple states.
The engagement combined API development and web-service integration to connect California’s prescription monitoring system with other states through RxCheck. The architecture was designed to support expansion to additional states.

Systems integration
Through a prime contractor
Working through a prime contractor, Vantage delivered the initial implementation of a modernized QuickMap application. Caltrans assumed maintenance following delivery.
The React and TypeScript implementation included improvements to mobile usability and accessibility, integration of multiple transportation data sources, and mapping features such as marker clustering and spiderification.
